Project Overviewร:

The JETRO Innovation Program is a project that supports the business expansion of Japanese startups with expertise, innovation, or unique products in ASEAN countries. In this project, Mediator was entrusted with all aspects of the planning and operations. This included organizing a “Bootcamp” for preliminary training, conducting market research in Thailand, and managing booth setup and business matching at the “CEBIT” exhibition.

Work Details:

  • Facilitated the organization of the “Bootcamp” for preliminary training
  • Facilitated the organization of mentoring sessions
  • Coordinated the Ecosystem Tour
  • Managed booth setup and business matching at the event
  • Scheduled and coordinated business meetings
  • Followed up on operations after the exhibition concluded

In this project, in-depth mentoring was provided to participating companies before they traveled to Thailand. The goal was to help them understand their own strengths and effectively plan their business expansion in Thailand and the ASEAN region. For the mentoring, Mediator selected experienced mentors to provide useful and direct advice to the participants. After completing the mentoring, the participating companies were able to pitch their ideas at the CEBIT event with confidence and fluency.

During the business matching sessions, the companies were able to communicate effectively, creating an atmosphere of in-depth discussion even in a short time. Mediator also carefully selected and invited Thai companies that matched the business needs of the Japanese participants. Furthermore, we publicized the business matching widely throughout the Thai IT industry to increase the number of interested attendees and boost business potential for the participants.

We stayed in close contact and exchanged information with the client starting six months before the project began. For the process of selecting Thai companies, we consulted with the mentors to ensure we could recommend companies with strong potential that precisely met the business needs of the Japanese participants for the business matching sessions.
