Kantatorn Wannawasu has more than ten years of job experience in Japan. After graduating from Saitama University's Faculty of Engineering in 2004, he worked in the industrial sector of the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo, providing care and language services to members of the Thai royal family and government officials.
In 2009, he returned to Thailand and established MEDIATOR Co., LTD. As President, he oversees a variety of projects for Japanese government agencies and enterprises. He also conducts seminars and talks on cultural differences for Japanese and Thai employees, with his speeches reaching over 12,000 individuals.
Japan has been a part of my life since I was a child because of my father's employment. After high school, I attended a university in Japan. Following my graduation, I worked as the Assistant to the Industrial Attaché at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo for more than five years. In this position, I oversaw Japanese-Thai collaboration, with an emphasis on both nations' economic, scientific, and technology strategies. It was then that I learnt about "national interests" and discovered that "working for the greater good and for others" added meaning to my existence.
However, I discovered that many Japanese individuals saw Thailand solely as a "low-cost manufacturing base." This perspective prompted me to consider whether our two countries' relationships could be more fair and equitable. This was exactly why I founded Mediator.
In 2009, I moved back to Thailand and founded Mediator Co., Ltd. My unchanging objective has been to bring Japan and Thailand together since the beginning. Our company's name, "Mediator," means "one who coordinates," and it embodies this philosophy.
My top priority in company is to "participate in and achieve goals with our clients". This means that we will accompany you on your journey, working for the same goal. At Mediator, we help you establish your goals and then take the required measures to make them a reality, one by one.
As both countries' industrial systems evolve, I believe the future of the Japan-Thailand business partnership lies in "combining our respective strengths to develop new firms that will drive economic and social progress for the next century." To do this, we believe that developing new opportunities, as well as providing the necessary knowledge and support, are critical for any organization to flourish and grow sustainably.
Mediator is always changing, inventing, and progressing. In today's competitive business environment, we have set a goal of being the company that contributes the most to collaborative business development between our two countries by 2037, the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Thailand.
