The Governments of Japan and Thailand are currently preparing to launch a ministerial-level policy dialogue, known as the Energy and Industry Dialogue (EID), covering issues related to addressing energy infrastructure and strengthening of key industries, including the automotive sector. For nearly 60 years, the two countries have fostered mutual economic development through the growth of Thailand’s automotive industry. Leading to the launch of the EID, and with participation from the Japanese and Thai private sectors, automotive policies of the governments and the strategies of automotive related industries will be shared with stakeholders in Thailand to enhance cooperation and strengthen solidarity between Japan and Thailand through the automotive industry.
