Japanese Food Product Exhibitions in the Provinces and an Online Business Matching Event by JETRO for 2023

Project Overview：

In 2022, the export volume of Japanese agricultural, fishery, and food products to Thailand grew significantly. While Bangkok is a highly competitive hub for consumption, Japanese restaurants are rapidly increasing in other provinces. Seeing the potential to expand the market for Japanese food products in these areas and neighboring countries, JETRO Bangkok organized this exhibition to pioneer new markets.

Work Details：

• Organized on-site events in provinces with a growing number of Japanese restaurants and retailers to increase the distribution of Japanese food ingredients (Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen).
• Hosted the events as trade shows for buyers from Thailand and neighboring countries.
• Managed participant recruitment, organized preparatory seminars for companies, scheduled pre-arranged business meetings, managed advance product shipments from sellers, and prepared for the business meeting days.

This was the first time we organized an exhibition and business matching event in a provincial area, making it a significant and challenging experience. Although we have extensive experience in business matching, this was a new challenge. We leveraged our accumulated experience and the team’s unwavering determination to think and act innovatively, leading to the project’s successful outcome and satisfaction from both the client and participants.
